How many runs you create with your offensive abilities is the measure of how good you are offensively. OPS is a good simple measure of that and Giambi has been more productive than those other players.

Phil, you're saying that in all cases, OPS trumps everything else in measuring a guy's offensive contributions? I just don't agree with that, but that's OK. We can agree to disagree. the only thing it doesn't count in baserunning. It tells you the rest. The best hitters in history have the best OPS's it's really that simple. We can agree to disagree but getting Giambi back is a positive.
