I can't believe we sent down Bruney to keep this guy.

I hate Brower.
What we really need is a technician for a pitching coach, not another ass patter. A Rick Peterson perhaps. Guidry is a figurehead. The evidence of our pitchers' mechanical problems is abundant. Bruney's walks. Farns not using the slider. We must be near the top of the lead in walks allowed. Wasn't whatsisname Kerrigan supposed to be a good pitching coach? Our best pitching coach is Mo.

oscar-I agree about the pitching coach hierarchy being askew-Guidry should be learning from Kerrigan or Patterson (both of whom have solid resumes) as opposed to being the #1 guy. Another beef I have is how often the Posada (more likely the bench, who flash Po the signals before almost every pitch) call for pitched well outside the strike zone. They do it routinely, even on 2-2 counts with guys likw Bruney, Proctor, and Farnsworth on the mound. The result is a 3-2 count and very often a walk. Since it's been happening over several years, I don't think blaming Bruney et al makes sense. When he/they were doing it last night with Joba, it was especially infuriating.

what could they possibly see in Brower to keep him up? He is like a batting practice pitcher.

Edwar for Brower, Britton for Karstens and Henn for Villone is the way to go.
