Let's hope. I think Joba will if he stays healthy.

I hope he doesn't go the way of Dave Walling...

I'm not high on him. I think choosing him was a disaster.

Don't you think disaster is a little strong?

Don't you think disaster is a little strong? Yeah, definitely. But I talk in exaggerations.

New Pinstripe Plus article said he is working on a Two Seam fastball. He said if he throws it down in the zone he has success but if he throws it high it flattens out and is hittable. He is also working on locating his curve ball better.

yankees.scout.com/2/630912.htmlhere's that article. BTW, he mentions that the two seamer will help him keep his pitch counts down so he can go deeper in games... seems like that's something the Yankees are emphasizing.

what is the difference between a two seam and 4 seam fastball? does one have more velocity or movement then the other?

|

Post by destiny on Mar 29, 2007 11:16:31 GMT -5
Two seam has more movement (usually side movement) and because of the movement has less velocity than the 4

what is the difference between a two seam and 4 seam fastball? does one have more velocity or movement then the other? also on a two seamer your fingers go in the same direction as the strings, while with a four seamer, you grab it across the seams.

Moose wasn't when he was young. He got into a brawl that cost him half a season. That's why he doesn't do that anymore.

strike out numbers are low, not complaining because moose isnt a strikeout king either but would like to see them a little higher. Any idea what the ground ball to fly ball ratio is like with this kid?

Kennedy is doing alot better than I thought he would. If he continues what he is doing now at AA I will feel even better about this pick.

Kennnedy's been learning a two seamer since we got him, last night he was able to go 8 so I think he was getting a lot of early contact. His groundballs and flyballs were about even, but without checking I bet he got a lot of pop-ups.
